Click to Pay with Visa is a game changer when it comes to speed in the online checkout process: while customers previously often had to painstakingly enter the details of their credit or debit cards, one-time registration is now enough. Customers are automatically recognised at checkout and can simply select the stored cards and pay directly – all in just a few clicks.

A simplicity from which the QR Pay solution of national payment provider Payrexx will also benefit in future. Payrexx QR Pay works in a similar way to what Swiss people are already used to from TWINT: simply scan the QR code with your mobile phone and pay. Payrexx's solution goes one step further, however. Instead of relying solely on an app, these QR codes can be scanned directly with the smartphone camera and a wide range of payment methods can be stored. This makes Payrexx QR Pay flexible to use and particularly attractive for merchants with an international customer base.

Exclusive transaction fees

To establish Payrexx's improved QR Pay solution as well as possible among both existing and new merchants, a one-year promotion has been launched together with Visa. As part of this, Payrexx is reducing transaction costs to a low 1.25 % + 0.00 CHF per payment – for all relevant Swiss payment methods! This is because Payrexx QR Pay works not only with Visa, but also with Mastercard, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay. In addition, a further 200 national and international payment methods can be stored, including PayPal, Klarna, POWERPAY or Centi.

As a small payment provider with regional roots, which itself started out as a start-up and worked its way up, Payrexx particularly cares about small businesses. Accordingly, the Thun-based payment provider has also focused mainly on SMEs, non-profit organisations, associations and federations in recent years.
