Frequently Asked Questions about PostFinance Checkout for Online Shops
Answers to typical questions that Händler and SMEs have about the payment method Postfinance Checkout, including important information on costs, security and implementation for use in the checkout or online shop.
Why don't I automatically see Visa and Mastercard, and what do I need to do?
PostFinance Checkout does not automatically add Visa and Mastercard. You need to add these payment methods manually and explicitly name them as “Visa” and “Mastercard” for them to work correctly and display properly.
When do I use PostFinance Checkout in Payrexx instead of PostFinance Pay directly in Payrexx?
You use PostFinance Checkout primarily when you already have an existing PostFinance Checkout agreement and setup and want to continue using this cash flow, or if you deliberately want to use the PostFinance Checkout environment for billing and reporting. Payrexx does point out that PostFinance Pay within Payrexx Pay is often the simpler way, but PostFinance Checkout remains relevant if your provider setup is already based on it.
How do the contract, cash flow, and gateway work when I use PostFinance Checkout with Payrexx?
You have the cash flow contract and disbursements directly with PostFinance Checkout. Payrexx is your gateway contract partner for the payment mask and the technical checkout integration. PostFinance Checkout is responsible for disbursements, settlement, and provider-side billing questions, and Payrexx supports you with gateway configuration and checkout integration.
What is PostFinance Checkout as a Proveedor externo in Payrexx?
You integrate PostFinance Checkout as an external payment provider with Payrexx. Payrexx provides you with the gateway, i.e., the payment form and checkout integration, while the transaction processing runs in the background via your PostFinance Checkout setup.
